I’ve been listening to all the talk (who hasn’t?) about Imus’ racist remark and it’s true, his sorry ass should be run off the radio. He is a racist prick and his feeble apology isn’t good enough to excuse what he said. I’m sure he can get a job as a radio jock for some neo-nazi, white supremacist hate group because that’s right where he belongs.
I’ve noticed though, that no one seems to have been offended by the fact that he called a group of young female college students ho’s! Black or white, this is just wrong on so many levels all by itself. Where does this bastard get off using such a derogatory term to describe young, hard working, college age athletes. These are peoples daughters, not Vegas hookers for craps sake. I can tell you this much, if I had a college aged daughter and she happened to be on the Rutgers basketball team, I would want to kick his sorry fuckin’ ass. I would like to see his reaction if his daughter had been called a “ho” by some loud mouthed racist lout on national talk radio. Bastard! Eat shit and die!

Omni, that’s exactly my point, no one cared about that, except I’m sure the mothers and fathers, family and friends of the athletes themselves. Besides being a blatant racist, he’s also a sexist pig.

I agree with you Se7, but, what about Howard Stern? He uses offensive language, racial slurs, and other things too, but Sirus payed him millions to do just that.
Mancow was on the air for years in Chicago before going national. He also was known for being offensive, crude, rude, and no one blinked. Then he found religion and started talking about it, here and there and within months, he was fired.
There is also Bill O’Reily who recently called Mexican nationals “wetbacks”?
The list could go on and on. It’s all unacceptable to me because a racist is a racist, and they can be any color. I just wonder why it’s ok for some and not others.

You know, I ranted about this, myself but from a different perspective. But I sure as hell see your point. I did not nor will I ever like Imus. He did say it in a comedy context and I do not think he said it maliciously. It was however, uncalled for and he deserved to be corrected for it.
