Well, as I recall in reading Chaucer’s Talles of Canterbury, it was a common belief in the Middle Ages that “gat-toothed” individuals (their language, not a typo!) had the sign of sexual prowess and ability…so maybe THAT’s why they don’t get it fixed…

The gap tooth is actually a weapon. They shoot water through the gap, like a built in squirt gun. Really cuts down on the paparazi.

I have a friend with a big gap in her front teeth, whose husband has the identical gap; I joke with her that they look like a pair of vending machines, lol.

You know we have a radiographic sign called the Terry Thomas sign or the David Letterman sign. You see it when 2 bones in the wrist (scaphoid and lunate) are separated creating a gap.

Now, I get to add 2 more names to that list.

My mom always bitched about the same thing - especially Letterman.

I could care less… but yeah, if I had a gap, and money, I’d be making an appointment for teeth like Jessica Simpson’s!

Well maybe it’s good for comedians to be funny looking. As for Madonna, if I were her, yeah I’d get it fixed, although my dentist did tell me that often teeth move towards the front as you age. Anyway, in this day and age of fake everything, I guess it doesn’t bother me if someone chooses to go with what God and nature gave them and be satisfied with that.
