I’m Home and it Hurts Like Hell!!
Just a quick update to let you guys know the surgery went just fine. I got home yesterday evening and I’m glad I didn’t have to stay overnight. The new incision is about 5 inches long and they used surgical super glue to hold it back together on the outside but I do have some self-dissolving stitches on the tear internally. And yes, the pain medication is pretty decent but it still hurts like crazy. Especially when I woke up this morning after the pain killers wore off overnight. I felt like a dump truck had run me down then backed over me a couple more times for good measure LOL.
I am able to get up and walk around but it’s very limited. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to work in a few days. Thanks everyone that stopped by for the nice comments and concerns on my condition in the previous post. I’ll be back!!

Glad to hear that everything went well but sorry to hear you’ve got that run down and backed over feeling. I remember it all too well from my back surgery! Take it easy and don’t overdo it; you don’t want that glue to turn into staples.
Pain medication is always nice but it’s never enough to make up for how lousy you have to feel in order to be given pain medication. Take care, darlin’. Try not to do too much too fast.
Oh, when The Youngest got hit in the face by a pitched ball last spring and his breaking nose split the skin on the bridge (from the inside), they superglued it and it looks just dandy today! That’s good stuff!
Don’t make the mistake of renting funny movies like I did when I had gallbladder surgury! Laughing hurt like hell! Get well soon!

I was laid up for 5 weeks with a herniated disk. It happens every couple of years. I hate being laid up, but it is good to catch up on my reading and change my blogs templates again….
